Hazen Fall 2009 Pictures

So my best friend Chelsea is pretty dang good at taking pics.... so I asked her to take Hazen's pictures for his 3rd birthday and so I could have some new pictures of him! She did such an AMAZING job!!! Hazen isn't usually very cooperative when he gets his pictures done, so I was a little nervous, but they turned out perfect! We went to Wheeler Farm, which was the perfect place for Hazen. It also helped that he has a HUGE crush on "Bubba" (Chelsea) so he smiled big for her! Thanks Chub, I love ya and I am still going to take you to dinner :)

A little secret.....

I guess it's time to let you all in on our little secret.... Hazen is going to be a big brother! We are very excited to be adding another little one to our family :) I am due in May, so we still have a while, but we are so excited and I can't keep my mouth shut much longer! This is the shirt we gave Hazen for his birthday. It was a fun surprise for our families!

Lots of new posts!

I am finally updating our blog! October was a crazy month for our family, so I am finally getting around to posting all the fun things that happened! Make sure you check out all of the new posts!

HaPpY HaLloWeEn!

We had a fun night for Halloween, Hazen went trick-or-treating with his cousins and then we headed up to Jilynn's house for some dinner and a party! Hazen decided he wanted to be a cowboy... no surprise there! So he wore his new chaps, vest, and boots that he got for his birthday. It was a fun night! We missed Ryan.... he was in Missouri, hunting whitetails for a week, so he missed out on all the fun!My cute little cowboy! This was the best picture I could get..... he was not the happiest camper that night!

All the "big kids" in their costumes.
Paige was an angel! What a cutie!
Brooklyn made a super cute carebear!

This was how he was the whole time we were trick-or-treating.... pretty cranky!

~Deer Hunt 2009~

The one hunt I go on every year is the rifle deer hunt. I always have a tag, and I am usually the only one with a tag since Ryan does the bowhunt thing. It is always a fun day to look forward to. This year, my dad, Devan, Ryan and I went to Strawberry for opening day, but didn't see anything worth shooting... (I did pass on a small buck first thing in the morning). So we headed home. Ryan, Devan and I went later in the week and I got lucky enough to find this buck! He is a 3x4. I am happy with him! It has been a successful year for hunting for me!

HaPpY BiRtHdaY HaZeN!!!

Hazen turned 3 on October 17..... I know I am a few weeks behind, but life has been a little crazy for us! He had croup (again) over his birthday so we had to cancel the first birthday party :( He was feeling better a couple days later, so we had his party with Ryan's family, and of course he got spoiled! He had a lot of fun and got lots of fun things from everyone. We had his birthday party with my family a few days later when everyone could come, and once again he got spoiled! He had a fun birthday week. I can't believe he is 3 already! He brings so much joy to our family. I am so thankful to have him in our home and that he chose Ryan and I for his parents. He is such a funny little guy with such an amazing imagination. He has no limits! He is such a blessing in our lives and we love him SO much!JC and Elisa and their girls gave Hazen a movie and some handcuffs for his birthday! He loved it!
Putting the handcuffs on Hazen..... he wants to be just like his Uncle JC!
Blowing out the candles at the Holt party, by this party he knew exactly what to do!
The handcuffs are on!
Grandma and Grandpa Holt gave him a "Pongo Boy" puppy! He loves it!
He loves his chaps and vest and gun!

AnTeLoPe HuNt!!!

Ryan has been putting me in for an antelope tag for the last 6 years.... and I finally drew the tag this year! We went scouting in July to find some bucks and found this one plus a few others. We headed down on Friday night (Sept. 11) to scout for a little bit to find a nice buck. Blake, Devan, Ryan and I went down and stayed overnight in Panguitch, we decided not to take the trailer for such a short trip. We found this buck again on Friday night, and about 25 other bucks. Ryan told me I could choose which one I wanted to shoot, so I picked this one first. Saturday morning we headed out early to the spot where this buck was at, and Blake spotted him in the dark! (Thanks Blake!) So, Ryan, Devan and I got out of the truck and started to get closer to him so I could get a shot before he got out of range. Blake stayed back at the truck with the spotting scope and a radio so he could tell us which way he was going. I could barely see the dang thing! It was barely 6:40 and it wasn't light yet. I shot him at 6:45 am at 362 yards away. It was an awesome hunt and I had a blast with the boys! Here's my buck......
Blake wants me to send this picture in with the story and try to win money and prizes......

Camping~Strawberry~August 2009

We were camping for most of the month of August. Hunting season is here! We were at Strawberry for 3 of 4 weekends in August. We had a blast! Ryan didn't have much luck this year elk hunting, but he did get a small buck, which he was excited about! I love camping, but I am glad the archery hunt is over so we can spend some time at home! Enjoy the pictures!
Going for a ride with Grandpa Cory!

Yes.... he is peeing on Ryan's truck tire! Sorry, maybe to much information to post in the blog?!

Getting ready to shoot his "bow" with a VERY dirty face! Gotta love camping!

Grabbing a hand full of grapes with FILTHY hands!

Paige decided she wanted to try dipping her head into the freezing water after she watched Hazen doing it!

Hazen and Brooklyn dipping their heads......

I LOVE this picture!

Freezing water dripping from the head!

Hazen thought this might be a good way to cool off I guess...... funny boy!

Bowling and Lagoon!!! Lots of Pictures!!

A couple of weeks ago, Hazen and I went to Lagoon with Ryan's family for the day. Ryan wasn't able to come, he had to work, but we had fun without him! Ryan's family usually goes to Lagoon every year and we haven't been for 4 or 5 years, so this year we decided to go. Hazen wasn't quite sure about the whole thing, but by the end of the day he was loving it! He had a lot of fun. Ryan's family was a big help to me all day with him. I was also able to go on most of the rides. It was such a fun day! Thanks Julie!

Riding on the train with Grandma Julie (Ryan's mom)
He LOVED this ride.... yes, because he is shooting a gun. If any of you know my child, you know he is happiest when he has a gun in his hand!
Hazen cheesing it for the camera :) He really is happy, he kind of looks like he is crying.
Hazen and I riding the merry-go-round. I look huge in this picture...

Hazen and Grandpa DeeRay (Ryan's dad) waiting in line for the merry-go-round. Another one of his favorites.... I think we went on it 4 times in a row.
Hazen and his cousin Karlee patiently waiting in line for the car ride.
Hazen driving the cars. He loved this ride.

In July, my mom, Elisa and her girls, and Hazen and I went to lunch and then we took the kids bowling. They had a blast! We had different plans for the day, but at last minute they didn't work out, so we decided to take them bowling. I bowled with all the kids. It was so much fun! I hadn't bowled for a really long time. We let them play in the arcade after for a little while. It was a fun day and we are definitely going to have to do it again!

Hazen thought bowling was pretty fun!
