Rainy Day at the Zoo

Hazen has been asking me when we are going to go to the Zoo all year, so I finally decided we would go a couple weeks ago. We went on Saturday September 10. It was nice and sunny when we left our house.... When we got to the Zoo, I got out of the car to get the stroller out and it started pouring. I got back in the car and Ryan and I decided to wait it out for a minute because he thought it was going to pass over us. Boy was he wrong! Oh well! We went in to check out all the animals anyways. It was actually kind of nice because it wasn't too busy and I thought it might be since it was a saturday afternoon. (Side note, I always forget how expensive it is to get into the Zoo... $25 for me, Ryan, and Hazen and Rhett was free!) So I guess I didn't realize how much they are changing stuff at the Zoo, because more than half of the exhibits were closed for construction :( But we had a great time anyways. I didn't take too many pictures because it was pouring pretty much the whole time we were there. But they boys had a blast. Well, Rhett did anyways... Hazen was kind of grumpy for some reason! Rhett loved seeing all the animals, especially the giraffes and the elephants. But I think his favorite things were the monkeys, he would just laugh at them as they jumped around! I think he could have watched them all afternoon. Most of the animals were out and loving the rain, so it was pretty cool. Ryan hasn't been to the Zoo for like 10 years, so it was fun for him to go with us this time. Well, here are the few pictures I did get.

Well.... I promise we are still alive! We have had a SUPER busy summer... and we have loved every minute of it! I have way too much to blog about and catch up on, but that would take all night and the few of you who read this thing would probably get a little bored! :) So I will save that time and just update with lots of pictures!

Hazen started Preschool this week! My little guy is getting too big! He loves Preschool!

Well that was a major overload of pictures, and I am going to try to be better at blogging! I am so sad that summer is almost over... I am not looking forward to the cold weather again. Yuck! The boys are growing and changing so much every day. Hazen just started preschool and Rhett is talking and learning more and more every day. They have so much fun together and love each other so much. Rhett is lost when Hazen is at Preschool! Hazen is learning so much already at preschool, and he loves it. He wakes up and asks every day if he can go again. Ryan has been busy with work and his favorite time of the year-hunting season :) I will be happy when it is over! As for me, I have just been busy working and I have started running. And I happen to love it! Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would have say that! Well, I am going to *try* to be better at blogging! :)

RSV Sucks!

So.... I have been the worst blogger ever. I have decided that blogging is a lot of work! :)

Anyways..... nothing too exciting has happened in the last 3 months since I blogged last! Lets see.... Rhett had RSV and spent a night in Primary Children's Hospital in the end of February. He was a very sick little guy. He was on oxygen at home for 5 days after he was released. I swear... Rhett is my sickly little guy! He hasn't gone longer than 6 weeks since he was born without being sick with something. Ear infections, rotovirus, colds, RSV twice now, Bronchiolitis... etc etc etc.... It sucks! Hopefully one day he will be healthy.

Vegas Baby!!!

I planned a little girls trip with my BFF Chelsea the second weekend in April. It was a much needed break and so much fun! I wish the weather would have been a little better but it was a blast anyways! I love spending time with her. We are complete opposites and we get along great. She has been my best friend since we were 10.... so I have so many fun memories with her. This trip just added so many more! We started out the trip a little crappy.... we flew out on a thursday night and we were supposed to be in Vegas by around 10:00 PM, but Utah was having a major storm that day... so we sat on the plane for 3 hours waiting for it to get De-Iced. NOT FUN. At all. By the time we got to Vegas and checked into our hotel and got ready for bed it was 4:00 AM Utah time. We were so dang tired! Friday we slept in and then worked out.... then we went shopping for the rest of the day! We went to a movie and then dinner and back to the hotel to sit in the hot tub. It was so much fun to sit in the hot tub every night. Saturday we walked the Strip all day long and shopped some more. We decided we wanted to go on the New York New York roller coaster which was SO much fun!!! We went on it just as it was getting dark so the whole city was lit up. It was awesome to see everything. And the roller coaster was a blast! Sunday we went back to the strip and relaxed and soaked up the sun for a little bit before we went to our show. We saw a comedy/magic show that was pretty good. After that we headed back to our hotel to get some dinner and gamble a little. Dinner was yummy (well at least mine was) but the gambling didn't go so well..... ha ha. I will leave it at that. I decided I really shouldn't gamble.... :) We flew out early Monday morning. Back home to reality! Thanks Chels for such a fun trip. I will never forget it! I think we need to make it a yearly tradition :) Love you!
