Poor Hazen!!!!

Yesterday was a bad morning for Hazen.... he grabbed my curling iron while it was still hot
and burned his poor little hand. I felt SO bad! I tried getting to him before he burned himself
but I was a little too late. He started screaming hysterically! Luckily, I had some
prescription burn cream at home from work, so that helped a ton! Needless to say....
he has some pretty big blisters. And hopefully he know now not to touch it! I always watch him pretty good with this sort of thing, but I was getting ready for work and I was in a hurry. It had been unplugged for about 5 minutes and I just wound the cord around it and put it in the middle of my bathroom counter where I thought he wouldn't be able to reach it. I thought wrong! I heard him grab it and I rushed in, but it was too late. I felt like a horrible mom!
At least it doesn't seem to be bothering him much at all today:)

This picture doesn't show it too good, but the blister is pretty big! Poor kid!

He grabbed the whole barrell of the curling iron and this is the result.....

I have the best parents in the world....

This is what I came home to on Friday night after running a few errands. It was on the outside of my door with a gift bag hanging on the door handle that had some cute earrings in it. My mom is so sweet and thoughtful all the time. Ryan was out of town for Valentines (and he has been for the last 6 years in a row) so she knew I didn't have anything exciting planned. She spoils me rotten and is always so thoughtful. It was nice to come home to something! Thanks mom! I love you more than you'll ever know!
It is also my parents 30th anniversary today. They are so perfect for each other. It is such an accomplishment to make it to 30 years in a marriage now a days. You don't hear of it too often. They are such a good example to me and Ryan for what a marriage should be like. They are such awesome parents and friends to me. My mom is truly my best friend. She is always there for me whenever I need her. We have so much fun together and I have learned so much from her. She is the most thoughtful person I know, and I hope that I can be more like her. My dad is the best! He coached me in Softball for nine years and I learned so much from him and loved every minute of it. He is also always there for me, whether it's a blessing in the middle of the night, or coming to rescue me at 7:00 in the morning on the side of the busy freeway. Sometimes all he has to do is just give me a big hug, and that is enough. I love my parents so much and I am so thankful for all they do for me. It is so nice to have them live so close.
Happy 30th Anniversary Mom and Dad! I love you so much!
