Rhett is here!

Well....Rhett decided he wanted to come into the world a little sooner than planned! He was born April 29, 2010 at 4:42 am. He weighed 5lb 1oz and he is 18 inches long. He is one tiny little boy! He is still in the NICU and he will be for a few weeks :( He was 4 more weeks early and his little lungs just weren't ready. He was on a ventilator for the first 24 hours and he has had all sorts of tubes, iv's, moniters, etc.... hooked up to him over the last week. He is on oxygen, moniters for his heart rate and respiratory rate and he still has an IV in his head (SO sad). Hopefully they will be able to take the IV out tomorrow. He is a week old today! Time flies-thankfully. I had another C-Section, so I got released from the hospital on Monday. It was so hard to leave the hospital and leave him there. But he is in the best place possible for him to be. They are taking good care of him. I am going up to the hospital once a day to feed him and see him. I usually try to spend a couple hours when I am there, but I can't drive for 2 weeks, so someone is taking me up there every day while Ryan is working. Luckily our families have been GREAT to help us out with driving up to the hospital, taking care of Hazen, laundry and cleaning my house, among everything else. He is a cute little guy, he has lots of hair and big eyes just like Hazen. His hair is a lot lighter than Hazen's and I am still trying to decide if he has more hair than Hazen had when he was born. We weren't able to really see him much the first day and a half of his life, but we finally got to hold him on Friday night. Once they took him off the ventilator and the IV out of his artery in his belly button, they let us hold him. I was so happy to finally hold my little guy! It has been so weird to have him and not be able to hold him when we want, change his diaper, or bring him home with us. It almost feels like I haven't had him, but I no longer have a belly! I would much rather have him in the belly still! Oh well.... he needed to come to earth I guess. He has such a sweet little spirit. I am so grateful that I can be a mommy to this little spirit and to Hazen. I am so lucky to have my boys. I know that Rhett will be just fine, and it is just going to take some time for him to grow and develop more before we can bring him home. It will be here before we know it! He is already a week old today! I'm sure Heavenly Father has a lesson for all of us to learn from this and I just need to have faith.
Sorry this is such a scattered post, but I mostly just wanted to let everyone know that he is here and to keep him in your prayers :) I will try to update as often as I can, but it might be hard to keep up. It is a lot of work by the time I go to the hospital every day, pump every 2-3 hours and eat every 2-3 hours and try to rest in between! I hope my energy will keep up with me. I am just extra tired, but I guess it is getting me prepared for when he does come home. It is going to be a lot of work, and totally different from Hazen. Wish me luck! Here are a few pictures!

Full body shot. He is so little!

I guess it's time for an update......

So... I know I have been a really bad blogger lately, but there just isn't that much stuff going on in our lives that is exciting! And, I haven't really felt like blogging much.....
So here is a little update for any of you that care! I have 4 more weeks left of being prego.... my C-Section is scheduled for May 19. Crazy! It is coming so fast! I also took the PTCB exam for my pharmacy technician license last week and I passed!!!!!! I am so happy to have that done! I have to wait now for my certificate saying that I passed to come in the mail and my Smith's test that I had to take, then I can take my state test up to Salt Lake and get my certificate! I am so happy to be done with all of that! (That is another reason why I haven't been blogging.... all of my free time went to studying!)
We had an awesome Easter with both families and had a lot of fun. We celebrated Easter with Ryan's family on Easter and we celebrated with my family the following Sunday. It was nice to be able to enjoy spending time with both families and not feeling like we had to be rushed all day. Hazen got spoiled of course..... and he had a ton of fun hunting for Easter eggs.
Ryan has just been busy working and riding his horse every chance he gets, which is at least once a week. He is loving every minute of that. He has also taken Hazen riding a couple of times, which is fun for both of them. I am so lucky to have such a good husband, and he is such a good daddy to Hazen. We are getting so excited for our little baby boy to get here! Ryan wishes he could just come out a 6-month old. That's when he said they start to get fun :)
Well, I will try to be a better blogger.... but for now, here are some pictures of Easter and the last couple of weeks!
Finding eggs at my parents house in the rocks.

All of the Holt grandkids (minus Morgan) Gotta love Kaylie's cheeser smile!

Man... he's so dang cute! I love this boy!
Mom and Hazen
Our attempt at trying to get a family picture.... Hazen wasn't having it. He was done at this point.... and I am quite surprised that Ryan is smiling! Not so cute of the three of us, but it's the best we can do! I am not liking how chunky I look!
I hope everyone is doing well!

8 MoRe WeEkS!!!

I can't believe I only have 8 more weeks until our new little guy will be here! This pregnancy has gone by SO fast! I am starting to get nervous, but I am so excited to see and meet this little man. He still isn't named.... but I'm leaning more towards Rhett. So we will see :)
There isn't really anything too exciting going on in our lives right now.... I am still studying my little heart out to take the PTCB exam, which I will be taking in the next 3-4 weeks hopefully. It will be SOOOO nice to have that done and taken care of. My stress levels will go down majorly! I am really nervous, so wish me luck! Ryan is still just busy working, and he gets out as often as he can to hunt, go shooting, or ride his horse. Hazen LOVES to tag along with daddy any chance he gets, which is pretty often, since I have been working a lot of Saturdays. Ryan and I went to the Jason Aldean concert last friday and it was a blast! It was fun to have a night out to treat ourselves. We don't do that much anymore, so it was a good night out! I didn't take any pictures, but it was such a good concert. Hazen is just growing like a weed! He is so much fun. He is getting excited to be a big brother. He told both my mom and Ryan's mom the other day that they have to be really careful when they hold his baby brother, because he just so little. He told them they can't hold him unless they are careful. I haven't really talked to him much about that, so I don't know where he comes up with the things he says! It made them both laugh. He is loving his new babysitter and preschool that she does with them. He also loves fridays, because he gets to go to work with daddy! About 6 weeks ago, the girl that was watching him on fridays, got a new job. So for now, he goes to work with daddy, and he is loving it! He wants to go to work with daddy everyday! So.... if any of you hear of a good babysitter for fridays, let me know. This is working great for now, but when we have the baby, we will have to figure something else out.
Ryan and I went in to check on Hazen one night while he was watching a movie and this is how we found him :)
We took the kids bowling back in January and they had a blast! Here is Paige, Brinley and Hazen.

This picture was taken a long time ago.... I was probably 26 or 27 weeks. I am now 31 weeks, so I will have to get a new picture put on.
